English Nick Matthew has ended an already positive week by compounding news of his reclamation of the World No.1 spot, by winning the Punj Lloyd PSA Masters in India yesterday (19 December).
Matthew faced fellow Brit James Willstrop, for the second time in as many weeks, but the Sheffield-born player was again too much for his England teammate. Willstrop was dispatched 11/5 11/8 11/7.
This was Matthew‘s seventh PSA Tour title this year, having also won the Case Swedish Open (against Willstrop again!), the North American Open, Canary Wharf 2010, Sky Open 2010, Australian Open 2010 and the Saudi World Open 2010.
